| Fanuc robots from Micromech have the perfect ingredients, a full menu of 'intelligent' robots which cover every aspect of automation that are needed for handling finished products in the food industry. The pukka recipe which follows should really whet your appetite:
First
Take the world's fastest packing robot, the tasty new M-420iA. It's a two or four-axis mid-sized articulated robot which can perform up to 3,000 cycles per hour and can rotate through 180° fitting easily into any kind of production line. It has a useful 40kg payload allowing it to handle many products at a time therefore maximising throughput and thus profits.
Next
Add the world's most efficient palletising robot, the M-410i which has a chunky 400 kg maximum payload, able to lift 'complete layers' onto pallets 1,300 mm2, 2,450 mm high or 1,600 mm2, 2,100 mm high. Its awesome power does not hinder its flexibility, it can work through a full 360° and perform up to 730 standard cycles per hour while taking up a minimum of floor space.
 Finishing touches
Top it off with the 'Robotop' system a unique solution which can wrap five sides of a palletised load in a single operation without the need for additional equipment. It cuts film, it thermoseals, it changes film automatically and can handle up to 50 loads an hour. In addition, it uses film widths of up to 1m, which saves both film and time. Waste is dramatically reduced thanks to its revolutionary 'corner compensation' which means there's virtually no risk of film tear.
Mix them all together and these delicious ingredients will have any food processing line serving up improved, efficient results. As system partners Micromech Robotics and Fanuc can specify, build and install the right equipment that is simple to programme and operate. Perhaps you are not already using a robot and this has given you food for thought that a changes in production methods should be made.
